Invisalign

A Modern Way to Straighten Teeth

Having crooked, crowded, or gapped teeth can be embarrassing, sometimes painful, and often uncomfortable. Most dentists will recommend treating an orthodontic problem with years of uncomfortable and unattractive metal braces, and that has been the biggest distraction stopping patients from finally fixing their teeth.

Here at Azari & Zahedi Dentistry, we want you to know there is a modern way to straighten teeth and even correct misaligned bites without traditional braces. We use Invisalign®.

If you have gapped teeth, an overbite, underbite, open bite, crossbite, or overly crowded teeth, Invisalign® may work for you. Call us at 904-992-8900 or request an appointment online to come into our Jacksonville office. We would love to discuss an Invisalign® plan specific to you.

The Invisalign Process

Invisalign® offers an almost invisible aligning system that straightens teeth fast and contains no metal.

Invisalign® treatment consists of a series of custom-made aligning trays. We change the trays every several weeks to fit the new tooth configuration. In addition to the reduced visual impact, Invisalign® aligning trays can be temporarily removed for important occasions, which means treatment duration is patient-controlled.

How It Works in 4 Steps

  1. Treatment Plan. We thoroughly evaluate the condition of your teeth by visual inspection as well as taking precise radiographs. This allows us to determine how to best position your teeth, step by step, throughout the Invisalign® process.
  2. Custom Aligners. A high-tech Invisalign® lab designs a series of clear Invisalign® aligners based on the exact requirements needed to treat your specific case.
  3. Wear a New Aligner Every 2 Weeks. Depending on your specific situation, the exact time between changing aligners can vary, but generally speaking you will wear your aligners every day, about 20 to 22 hours a day, and start the next set approximately every two weeks.
  4. The Big Reveal. During the final days of wearing your last aligner, congratulations. You have achieved the beautiful straight smile you were after. Call us at 904-992-8900 and let Azari & Zahedi Dentistry show you what Invisalign® can do.

Invisalign to the Rescue

Invisalign® corrects many orthodontic issues without the hassles of traditional braces. That means no unattractive metal wire, no uncomfortable glued-on brackets, and no annoying rubber bands that can leave your mouth sore. Invisalign® uses a series of clear, custom-fit removable aligners, and we can straighten your teeth in no time. In most cases, Invisalign® treatment takes about a year.

Did We Mention Invisalign® Is Removable?

Because the aligners used in the Invisalign® treatment process are removable, you can eat the foods you love. Additionally, when you need to brush and floss, you do not have to buy special toothbrushes and flossers designed to fit between the wires and brackets of braces.

The full course of treatment involves changing the Invisalign® aligners approximately every two weeks, moving your teeth into a straighter position step by step until you have a more beautiful smile.

Whiten Your Teeth While Straightening

Most patients do not know this, but you can use at-home whitening solution in your Invisalign® aligners to whiten your teeth at the same time you are straightening them. The Invisalign® aligners are already custom-fitted to your teeth, which allows the whitening solution to spread evenly along the surfaces of your teeth, much better than the boil-and-fit trays most home whitening kits provide.

How Long Does Invisalign Treatment Take?

As with every dental procedure, the current condition of your teeth will play a role in determining how long treatment will take.

For best results, we recommend wearing your Invisalign® aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day throughout the entire treatment process. In most cases, adults can experience full treatment and a straight smile in as little as one year. For teens, the length of treatment is comparable to that of traditional braces.

The total time you wear your Invisalign® aligners will seem to fly by, since you will be able to see your smile literally transform every time you change to the next set of aligners.

For Teens

Invisalign Teen

Designed for Teenagers

Invisalign Teen is the only clear orthodontic aligner therapy designed to address the unique concerns of treating non-adult comprehensive patients. Because aligners are removable, patients can continue to eat their favorite foods and brush and floss normally to help keep teeth and gums healthy.

Invisalign Teen has all the features of Invisalign Full, plus:

  • Compliance indicators track the patient's approximate wear time and help provide reassurance for parents that the teen is being compliant.
  • Six free individual replacement aligners are included with Invisalign Teen to replace lost or broken aligners.
  • Many teens present for treatment with erupting permanent dentition. Invisalign Teen has been engineered with a feature to help prevent supra-eruption of the second molars.

How Affordable Is Invisalign®?

The total cost of Invisalign® treatment is similar to that of traditional braces. Many dental insurance plans cover Invisalign® treatment just as they would regular metal braces. Every unique case has many factors that can affect the total treatment cost, so it is extremely difficult to put a price tag on a custom treatment plan in advance.

Azari & Zahedi Dentistry can do the legwork for you and will check with your dental insurance provider to see how much they cover.

When your insurance coverage falls short, we partner with Cherry Financing so you can access up to $25,000 with no impact on your credit score and repay at a pace that suits your budget.

Call our office at 904-992-8900 or request an appointment and come in to be evaluated. We make sure there is no guessing, so you will know exactly what your specific treatment will cost.

Invisalign vs. Braces vs. Veneers

Invisalign is not the only way to a straighter-looking smile. Conventional braces are still the right answer for many cases, especially complex orthodontic problems and younger patients in mixed dentition. For cosmetic-only concerns where the underlying bite is fine, veneers can deliver a straight-looking smile in a few visits without months or years of orthodontic treatment.

The right choice depends on your specific situation. Bite, age, timeline, and budget all factor in. Come in for a courtesy consultation and we will walk you through which option is the best fit for you.
