Implants & Dentures
Dr. Azari knows the dynamics of a smile and the preservation of a healthy mouth. One of the factors contributing to successful denture fabrication is to evaluate the smile line and the proportions of the jaws for each patient - and then set the teeth in our on-site lab.
This level of customization is what separates a quality denture from a generic one, and it's what allows us to offer dentures that look natural and feel comfortable from the day you receive them.

Part 1 of 3
A full-arch denture is an intraoral appliance designed to replace a full set of teeth on either the upper or lower arch. Full-arch dentures rest on your gum pad and may require the use of a special adhesive to help lock the denture into place.
Advances have been made in the materials used for dentures and in the way they are designed. They can be crafted to provide the tooth shape and color the patient desires.
If you need to replace an entire arch of teeth, a full-arch denture is the most affordable tooth-replacement option. Not having any teeth causes mild to severe physical changes in your face, mouth, and lips - a full-arch denture can restore biting and chewing functionality and bring back a more attractive appearance.
If you already have dentures and are experiencing a loose fit or denture slipping, this can lead to gum sores, can affect chewing and speech, and can decrease your confidence when speaking and laughing with others. We can help restore your dentures to the correct fit.
Several denture configurations are available depending on your fit, comfort, and budget needs.
A flexible alternative to common hard dentures crafted out of acrylic. Soft dentures don't require adhesives and adjust to the shape of the gums for greater comfort.
They are only called "soft" because the inner lining is soft - they are otherwise similar to ordinary dentures.
Made to be placed in the mouth immediately after you have all your natural teeth extracted, so you leave the office without the embarrassment of having no teeth while the gums heal.
Just remember: never remove the denture yourself, even briefly, unless we instruct you to.
Implants allow you to wear full or partial dentures without fear that they will slip or fall out. A snap-in denture is an implant-supported, removable denture.
An over-denture fits on top of natural teeth or dental implants. Many patients with ill-fitting and loose dentures find relief in a plate that goes over and attaches to something underneath it.
One of the most common complaints from denture wearers is that their dentures look like false teeth, causing them to be self-conscious and smile less. This complaint is usually accompanied by shortcomings in chewing ability and overall discomfort.
With the custom fit and design of Ivoclar dentures, wearers experience a more natural look and benefit from the unique Ivoclar design for better chewing. Ivoclar dentures appear more natural because they are designed and handcrafted especially to complement your personality, age, sex, and physical appearance.
Azari & Zahedi Dentistry takes special measurements that allow us to duplicate the natural characteristics of your teeth in our own lab, using the Ivoclar precision denture technique. The denture teeth are manufactured layer by layer to respond to light just like natural tooth enamel - giving you the most natural appearance possible.
Ideally, dentures should be replaced every five years. If you already have dentures, it may be time to discover what we can do for your smile.

Part 2 of 3
Removable partial dentures are composed of a metal framework with plastic teeth and gum areas. The framework includes metal clasps or other attachments that hold the denture in place. Partial dentures are removed easily for cleaning.
Clasps are C-shaped, I-shaped, and Y-shaped parts of the denture framework that fit around neighboring natural teeth. These teeth may require shaping to help hold the clasps and keep the denture securely in place.
A partial denture may not be the best option for replacing missing teeth, but it is the least expensive tooth-replacement option when compared to a dental bridge or a dental implant.
From flexible thermoplastic resins to precision-fitted appliances and temporary solutions.
Flexible partials are very comfortable. They are made from the latest technology in thermoplastic resins and may be all-thermoplastic or combined with Vitallium bio-compatible metal for increased strength.
Precision partial dentures are retained in the mouth by interlocking components, making for anti-slip dentures that won't move when you speak or chew.
Temporary or interim appliances are often an integral part of a prosthetic treatment plan, especially while waiting for a permanent bridge, partial, or implant.
Partial dentures are not the only means of replacing missing teeth. Below are two other tooth-replacement options that will outlast a partial and provide a more durable solution.
A permanent alternative to partial dentures with additional benefits. A dental implant replaces the entire tooth - root and crown - eliminating bone deterioration and bringing the same strength and durability as your original tooth.
Typically more durable and a more permanent solution than partial dentures. A bridge spans the length of at least three teeth to replace a missing tooth or teeth in between.
Part 3 of 3
Same-day dentures are made in advance and immediately placed after the teeth are removed, preventing the patient from having to go without teeth during the healing process.
Before the day of your treatment, our team will create your new teeth so the entire process can take place in a single day. Using computer-aided technology, a scan is done of your mouth to plan your treatment and design your replacement teeth.
Same-day dentures are an excellent solution for patients who have lost - or are about to lose - all of their teeth and need a full set of fixed dentures right away. After your procedure and some adjustment and recovery time, you'll be back to normal.
Once the tissues shrink and heal, normal adjustments or replacements will be needed. We'll take care of all the follow-up.

Removable dentures are the most affordable way to replace an entire arch of teeth, but it's worth understanding the tradeoffs before deciding.
Dentures gradually loosen and can break through normal activities such as talking and eating. Over time, they will need to be replaced and adjusted.
If you don't replace tooth roots, the bone where the roots used to be will start to degenerate and shrink. This ongoing bone loss is one reason a denture can stop fitting like it once did.
Dentures take up more space in the mouth than natural teeth. There is an adjustment period where you may notice difficulty pronouncing certain words.
Dentures exert their forces onto the gum bed below and may cause soreness in sensitive tissues, especially at first.
If these tradeoffs concern you, our Implant-Supported Dentures and Full Arch Implants pages cover the more permanent alternatives.
Occasionally, it is difficult to adapt to full or partial dentures. At first they may feel loose, bulky, and awkward while speaking. For a quicker adjustment period, follow these instructions:
Never adjust the dentures yourself. Every person and every mouth is different - adjustment periods will vary.

Generally speaking, full-arch dentures are extremely affordable and can cost less than a single dental implant. However, many patients ultimately choose implants for the long-term benefits and improved quality of life.
